In life, there are real challenges and problems. It does not matter whether or not you are good. Life is like a journey, which has got these challenges and problems. So what do you do when you face these challenges and problems? You run away? If you run away from them, that will last for how long? You can't keep on running, but you must learn to face challenges and problems.
I want to share with you some tips of finding solutions to your challenges and problems. They are as follows:
1. Look to someone Greater than you for solutions.
2. Receive answers to your challenges.
3. Fulfil your vows
. Look to someone greater than you for solutions
Everyone in life knows that there is someone greater than themselves. Look at what Hannah of the Bible did. "Peninnah liked to make Hannah feel miserable about not having any children, Hannah was brokenhearted and was crying as she prayed" (1 Samuel 1:6,10).
Elkanah her husband tried everything he knew how to make Hannah feel good about her situation, but he failed to meet the deep desire his wife had. I tell you that most of the time, you can try looking for answers from people around you. These people may include your spouse, friends, and other relatives. They may fail to meet your deep rooted desires. So where do you go? Do you lose hope about life? No. That is not what Hannah did. She turned to God in prayer. Who do you turn to? Earthly people have limitations just like you. They may try giving you other things but only to discover that they are not true solutions.
Paul also turned to the Lord for the removal of the thorn in the flesh. However, even though it was not removed, the Lord assured him that His grace was sufficient for him. His strength was perfected in his weaknesses. "... and by the surpassing revelations, lest I be made haughty, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be made haughty. For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me" (2 Corinthians 12:7-9).
Receive answers to your challenges
Some people fail to notice when a solution came. Or they look at the wrong place. Be attentive to ensure that your answer does not pass you by. Hannah prayed, and after hearing the words of Eli the priest blessing her, she went home happy. By so doing she expressed faith in God. She did not wait for the physical manifestation of the son she was praying for to be grateful. "Eli replied, "You may go home now and stop worrying. I'm sure the God of Israel will answer your prayer." And it happened when the time had come around, Hannah conceived and bore a son and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah (1 Samuel 1:17,20).
At times solutions to our troubles come from people. We need to be receptive to them. It also helps to have a mentor in life. These are people who have walked the walk. They now know what works and what does not.
Fulfil your vows
When we are desperate about getting something, we make great promises. We say we will give this or that, but only to fail to fulfil them. It is like burning the bridges after crossing the rivers. It is important to fulfil what you promise. Or else we should not make promises that we won't fulfil.
Hannah fulfilled hers. "And she said, O, my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to Jehovah. For this boy I was praying, and Jehovah has given me my petition which I asked of Him. And I have returned him to Jehovah. As long as he lives, he shall be given to Jehovah. And he worshiped Jehovah there" (1 Samuel 1:26-28).
Be grateful to those that are used as channels to your life solutions. The Bible says give and you shall receive. If God is your source for solutions, then be grateful to Him. That expresses faith in Him and you shall receive more.
Life challenges are real in life. So what shall you do? Have someone greater than you to whom you can seek advice. Be ready to receive solutions and advices. Never promise and fail to keep the promises. Perform you vows. God loves you and He cares for you.
